Caden and colic...

So after the last few nights we have decided that Caden has colic. Friday night he was extremely unhappy and screaming for a long time. Saturday night it got worst. He screamed most of the night. He acts like he is starving but he can't eat. He arches his back and nothing makes him feel better. We have found that if you let him lay on his tummy on the dryer with the dryer on he will stop screaming for awhile. He also stops screaming when you give him a warm bath.

Last night he was screaming again. So I decided to sit up with him on the couch instead of trying to make him lay down. He did a lot better last night. He still monaed a lot and he did have some screaming in the middle of the night but it wasn't quite as bad as it was the night before.

I just hate it because there is nothing I can do to make him feel better. He just screams and screams and it hurts me to hear it. I just wish I could make it better for him. He looks at me like I should be able to and I just can't.

We went through some of this with Preston...I think he had a bit of reflux. He just seemed to hurt. I hated it. I sat him up for at least 30 mins after eating and it seemed to help. We tried the gas relief drops (didn't seem to make a difference) and there's a Little Tummys Gripe Water which actually did seem to help. Anything to get a little relief! I hope it ends soon! They say if you are already breastfeeding then continue, but maybe modify your diet if something seems to be irritating his tummy. If you are formula feeding sometimes switching type/brand can help.
