4th of July

Happy 4th of July! Just a quick update! Last night we went and saw some friends that we haven't seen in a long time. Caden got to play with some kids that are older than him. It is so funny because of course he doesn't play with them just around them but right before one of them went to bed, he held her hand and blew kisses at her. It was so cute and sweet. One of the Dads was shooting off fireworks. Caden was not sure about the fireworks. He hung around his Daddy for most of that. He really liked climbing on the golf cart and trying to figure out how it worked. All in all it was a good evening. However, he would not go to bed there. He does not sleep when he think he is going to miss something. He is so weird about that. I thought he would go to sleep when the other kids went to sleep, but no, not even then. I forgot how much little kids are totally in their world. Caden and the other kids who were about 2 had no idea where each other where. They just would push past each other. No concept of space.

Caden can also now tell you what a cow, a rooster, a horse, and a duck says. I think he also tells you what a pig says but it remarkably similar to what a duck says. So I am not sure if he is telling me what a pig says and it sounds different to him or if he is just a little confused. He definitely understands a lot more of what we are talking about, he just can't say all the words. When I ask him if he needs a diaper change he walks back to his bedroom. Right now every piece of clothing he calls shoes. We are trying to work on naming the clothes and parts of the face. We shall see how that goes. Fun times. :)
